LADY MC

In 1995 Kerry-Anne commenced her career as an MC in the original Club Labyrinth in East London, working alongside her inspiration, MC Deemas J. At 16, she competed in the Kool Skool Competition (award winning Kool FM), where she battled against twelve other male and female MC’s, along-side Shy FX.

Lady MC continued to work as a MC in various clubs and venues around the UK, establishing herself as an artist in the drum and bass scene. Before reaching 18 years old, she performed at events such as One Nation, Best of British and Dreamscape. Aged 19, Lady MC experienced her first bookings across Europe. She traveled to Gerona, Spain, Kavos and Greece to work for various promoters. Around this period of time she also worked alongside DJ & Actor Rory Hannah (DJ Nash) and the Jungle Drummer, working on a live band project “Amen Brothers”. The band continued for sometime at various events and shows throughout the UK.
