MC FEARLESS
Fearless started MCing over Drum & Bass at the age of 19, in 1989, with the Brainkillers, 2 DJs from his area. His first public outings were on a pirate radio station called 'Innocence FM', where he started out by doing jingles. Due to listener demand, Fearless ended up doing a regular show on the station. Bookings were soon to follow and the trio played out together at events in Isle of Wight (where they had a residency), North Wales, Manchester and other areas outside London. To build their London profile, the trio switched to the mighty 'Weekend Rush FM' in 1991, where they smashed it on a regular basis alongside the likes of Red Ant, Remarc and a very young MC Shabba. Fearless was to later meet Kenny Ken in a club called 'Slammers' in Gravesend, where they exchanged numbers after performing a good set together. There was to be no turning back at this point: it was now 1993 and Fearless then traveled around with Kenny Ken on a regular basis, working together as a lethal tag team which was second to none. The bookings flooded in and Fearless started to establish himself on an individual basis, soon becoming a household name on the D&B circuit, smashing events such as Telepathy, Tasco Warehouse, Bass Box, Zodiac Dance Studios, Quest (Wolverhampton) and various raves throughout the Midlands. The obvious next step for Fearless was for him to be represented by an agent and from 1994, he was exclusively represented for all bookings by T.O.N. Promotions. The camp he was now working within included the likes of Kenny Ken, DJ Rap and MC Stevie Hyper D (R.I.P.) and they were extremely busy on the European circuit, representing the D&B sound in countries such as Germany, Holland and France, in addition to existing UK commitments such as One Nation, Slammin' Vinyl, Dreamscape and United Dance.
Off the back of his UK & European success, Fearless soon realized that he could bring his talent to a host of new audiences and Canada became the next target in his mission for global success. Fearless touching down on North American soil: the outcome was devastation and throughout the years of 1997 & 1998, he appeared at countless events in places such as Toronto, LA, Denver, Texas, New York, Philadelphia and Seattle. Continuing the trans-Atlantic connection, the man like Fearless is now turning heads & ears with his new label 'Hustlin' Beats' which represents talent from both sides of the pond and which is run by himself and his partners in Canada. And if this wasn't enough, watch out for DJ Fearless appearing at a venue near you, yes, the same person, but spinning the tunes instead of laying down lyrics...you've been warned!
